🎯 Why did we build this?
Sometimes, users don’t have a work email yet — especially during pre-boarding, onboarding, or interim periods. That’s why we’ve made it possible for users to update their own email address or password after registration.
Whether they switch email providers, want a stronger password, or just prefer using their personal inbox — this feature allows users to take control without losing any MobieTrain progress.
It’s flexible, secure, and puts the user in charge of how they log in.
🔄 How does it work?
From the Profile section in the app, users can:
Change their email address
Add a password if they don’t have one
Update their existing password
📩 When changing an email address, the new email will only become active after the user confirms it via the email confirmation link — so no accidental changes!
You can view how this works for your users in the app’s Profile area.
🚫 When is this not available?
Users can’t update their login credentials if:
They log in using Single Sign-On (SSO)
Their account was created manually via the CMS using the “Add new user” button (credentials for these are fixed by the admin)
In these cases, changes must be made by an admin or via your IT system if SSO is enabled.
✅ Best Practice
Encourage users to keep their email and password up to date — but always check first if they’re using SSO or a manually created account.
