What is it?

Notifications are short messages that pop up on the user's phone, tablet or desktop pc. These messages are meant to get the user back to the MobieTrain platform. They are personalized and triggered by certain situations.

How does it work?

MobieTrain currently sends out 2 different types of notifications:

1. Inactivity
If one of your users hasn’t engaged with MobieTrain in the past 2 weeks, we will send this user a notification. That notification will pop up immediately on the user's device.

Every time the user is inactive for too long, the user will receive a similar notification again. The message of the notification is playful and will be differentiated a bit every time, in order to not bore out your users with these reminders.

2. Chat

MobieTrain also has a chat functionality. When a user has a new 1-on-1 chat message, this will show as a pop-up notification on the user's device, even if the user closed MobieTrain. This ensures that no communication is left unread.

Good for you to know as well, is that these notifications are triggered automatically. In other words: there is no manual work needed from your side to configure it.

Why did we build it?

Push notifications will play a crucial role in keeping your users informed and engaged. In the future, it will help you to notify them of new learning goals, approaching deadlines, registered events, and much more. With these real-time alerts, users will stay connected and motivated, ensuring they never miss an important update or opportunity to engage with the MobieTrain platform. Over time, these notifications will be expanded to include new and existing message types.

When should you use it?

This feature will be applicable for all MobieTrain users as from mid October 2024. If there is a reason why you might not want to use this functionality - we cannot think of one - please get in touch with your Customer Success Manager.

Know that notifications are personalized and device-specific. This means that this feature works best if your users use one personal device to login to MobieTrain.
