Good question - while Internet Explorer might be one of the oldest and most known browsers out there, it's certainly not the very best. We always advise using browsers like Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox .... as they support more systems and services:
Apart from that, Microsoft officially announced that they won't be supporting Internet Explorer 11 in Microsoft 365 apps any longer. Instead, they will replace Internet Explorer with Microsoft EDGE, a much more reliable browser.
